How should I prepare for my appointment?
We ask that all patients avoid blood thinning medications and supplements for 2 weeks prior to treatment. This will help decrease the likelihood of bruising. Avoiding alcoholic beverages for 24 hours prior may also help decrease bruising. Taking Arnica tablets for 3 days prior may be beneficial in reducing bruising and swelling.
What Does Post-Treatment Care Involve?
After your Sculptra® treatment, follow the 3-3-3 rule: Massage the treated areas for 3 minutes, 3 times a day, for 3 days, as directed by your injector. This helps distribute the product evenly and may reduce the risk of nodules.
